This is the frietkot—some would say the frietkot—at the north/top end of the Markt in Brugge, near the Belfort bell tower. There is never not a line of people waiting to buy here. This is an epicenter of frietkot culture, and a great place to start learning about how it works.
This 2020 article suggests that even during the pandemic, the frietkot sold for €180,000 (and there’s a yearly €125,000 operating fee, too). But this is one of those location,-location,location things… and the fries are really good.
